This, of course, is always one of the first questions you as a patient has when starting the research process for healthcare, regardless of what kind. Here at Scandinavian Health Institute in Los Angeles, we receive this question often from both prospective patients and current patients alike.
We get it. Price matters. And your health matters. So you want to make sure you invest in the right type of health care that will reap you both short and long term benefits.
Chiropractic care is well known to be a cost-efficient health care option for many ailments, especially for neck and back pain. Studies conducted by NNCAM, found there to be "significantly lower overall and spine-specific medical costs" among patients who utilize health care alternatives such as chiropractic care compared to patients who don't.
The answer is it depends. Many factors can influence the cost of chiropractic care. It depends on you and the diagnostics needed, it depends on what type of chiropractic care you are looking for and it also depends on what type of treatment plan you need.
As you might imagine, though, the problem with answering this question is the fact that no single patient is the same. Our goal here at Scandinavian Health Institute is always to limit the number of sessions we see you as a patient. But the number of times will vary from patient to patient. And the amount of time and effort you can put into your self-care at home. We also will always offer you a breakdown of a suggested treatment plan (if we have determined that chiropractic care is the best treatment for your ailment) at your first visit.
Some chiropractors in Los Angeles do offer insurance, but we at Scandinavian Health Institute don't have any affiliation with insurance companies. This is to ensure we can spend an ample amount of time with you when you visit us. (We offer superbills that you can submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement).
We offer appointments at our office centrally located on La Brea Ave in West Hollywood as well as house-calls in Los Angeles with patients in Hancock Park, Hollywood Hills, Malibu, Silverlake, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Santa Monica. In addition, we have patients worldwide through our virtual consultations.
Our prices for first consultations start at $180 for in-office visits and $150 for in-office follow-up consultations. Also, we do offer virtual sessions that are conducted through Zoom. The initial session cost is $150 and follow-up sessions are $100. We are proud to service the entire Los Angeles county* with at-home visits. The price of our house-calls is $350 within Los Angeles County (You can read more about our services here.)
